A couple of days ago, I made these delicious Sticky Buns! So I wanted to share them with you!
The dough is the same that I use for our church's communion bread.
For dough:
2 cups hot water,
4 teaspoons yeast,
Mix,
1/2 cup white sugar,
1/4 cup oil,
1 warm egg,
2 teaspoons salt
Mix,
6-7 cups white flour, add 1 cup at a time while mixing.
For glaze:
½ cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
¼ cup heavy cream or half n half
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
¼ cup heavy cream or half n half
Bake at 375 for I don't know how long;)
I use a Bosch mixer, but I think you can make it in Kitchenaid with a dough hook. I'll have to try that sometime, because I think our poor Bosch is dying.
Roll it out until it is about 1/4 inch thick.
Spread with butter.
Dust with a cinnamon and white sugar mix.
Then spread with brown sugar. A little goes a long way.
Roll into log and cut.
Put all glaze ingredients into a sauce pan on medium heat and melt. Pour it into a greased 9x13, then put your rolls in it for 1/2 hour covered to rise.
Bake until golden brown.
Oops, I got my finger in there!
If that doesn't look just heavenly, I don't know what does!
After 5 minutes, (if you do longer or shorter time, it won't come out well) turn out onto desired platter, and enjoy!
They are dangerously good! I really wanted to eat the whole pan by myself! They are a lot like cinnamon rolls, just bumped up a couple of notches! Soft and sticky, but with a delightful crust around the edges, I think I'll have to make some more very soon!
